For the past six years, Cecil’s Cyclery has been fixing bikes and e-bikes from our home on Balboa Island. Along the way, we've helped thousands of maintenance customers with everything from flat tires and brake adjustments to tune-ups and more involved repairs.
And lately, we've been hearing the same question over and over:
“Can you just come to us?”
Turns out, that's a pretty good idea.
So we're excited to announce the launch of Cecil’s Cyclery Mobile Bike & E-Bike Repair, serving Newport Beach, Corona del Mar and Costa Mesa.
The Local Bike Shop Landscape Is Changing
Our local cycling community has seen some big changes recently, including the loss of longtime bike shops that many riders relied on for maintenance and repairs.
Pedego Corona del Mar has been an important destination for local e-bike riders, while Two Wheels One Planet in Costa Mesa, located on 17th Street, has served the Costa Mesa cycling community for decades. Two Wheels One Planet was known in particular for bike sales, service and repairs.
As these neighborhood options change, we've been hearing from more riders asking where they can take their bikes and e-bikes for service.
Our answer is simple:

How Cecil’s Mobile Bike Repair Works
Schedule an appointment online or give Cecil’s a call. We'll come directly to your home or business in Newport Beach, Corona del Mar or Costa Mesa.
If we can perform the repair at your location, we'll take care of it there. If your bike needs more extensive work, specialized tools or additional parts, we'll pick it up, bring it back to our Balboa Island shop, complete the work and return it to you.
No bike rack. No trying to squeeze an e-bike into the back of your SUV. And no figuring out how you're getting home after dropping your bike off.

Our Balboa Island location isn't always the easiest place to reach with a bike that needs repair—especially a 60-pound e-bike. Mobile service allows us to bring our maintenance operation directly into the communities around us.
