The Review:

It’s time for a grand adventure with the 2021 Quietkat Sherpa Electric Cargo Bike!

If you’re somebody who loves taking the roads less travelled, this ebike is the one for you. The Quietkat Sherpa ebike is a dependable companion in all things adventure as it is built for high intensity riding across a plethora of terrains. This Quietkat bike is based on the Villager model of bikes that includes a longer wheelbase and an integrated rear rack that will carry all the gear you need for your journey. Similar to the Sherpas that haul heavy gear up the Himalayan mountains, the Quietkat Electric Sherpa is strong, reliable, and equipped for any of your trips, from the park to the beach to the lake or the mountains!

When riding any terrain, comfort is valuable and with this ebike, your comfort is promised. The Sherpa features a premium RST Coil Suspension Fork and 3” plus-size all-terrain tires that conjunctly work together to make your ride as smooth and comfortable as possible, even on harsher roads. These features also allow you to take your bike on a variety of terrains such as paved paths, snow, sand, dirt roads, steep hills, and more! And when on the bumpier of roads, you can rest assured knowing that the Sherpa comes with 26" x 3" balloon tires with dense casings to help resist punctures, providing you a sense of safety while riding.

To add to the comfortability and convenience of the Sherpa, it has the lowest stand-over height of any cargo ebike on the market today, making it easy for riders to get on and off the bike, which may not seem like that important until you’re actually having to get on and off a bike throughout your trip.

All of these capabilities are powered by a 750W rear hub-drive motor, paired with a long-range 48V/14.5Ah downtube-integrated battery. Both of these allow for hours of powerful riding per charge! And of course, the Sherpa is fully functional as a conventional, no power, bike as well, equipped with 7-speed Shimano Alivio or SRAM X4 drivetrain. But with power, the bike will help you tackle all the hills and headwinds of your dreams; all you have to do is turn on the 5-level pedal assist system or push the left-sided thumb throttle and you’re zooming! And you can trust the bike’s 203mm disc brakes all the same as they have the same amount of stopping power, which should give you confidence on technical descents. The brakes also come with automatic motor cutoffs, so when the brakes are engaged, the power to the motor is simultaneously cutoff, a heightened security measure that will make you feel as safe as possible.

If there’s one thing you take away from this, it should be that the Quietkat Sherpa is a tactful powerhouse fit for journeys short and long, flat and steep, smooth and rough. You really can’t go wrong with this tank of a bike. Come into Cecil’s Cyclery to check it out for yourself, we promise it’ll win your heart as your next adventure buddy.
